Thoroughly Unproductive Weekend

I’ve been kind of tired this weekend and so I haven’t really done anything. Friday night was spent at a friends place where the two of us configured the DNS & DHCP services on the CentOS machine I was working a bit on earlier this week. We successfully set up the services, but decided not to discard his old router quite yet, since we haven’t really decided how to handle the firewall-bit. I got home around 1030 PM and went on to play two games of Dota 2 before going to bed.

Waking up on Saturday to my 10 AM alarm, I felt completely beat and decided to just sleep in. By 1 PM I had managed to make my way out of bed and all the way over to the living room where I spent the rest of the day re-watching old episodes on Buffy.

When I woke up today, I decided to do some coding on a project I’m currently working on. I might tell you more about the project later on, but for now all you need to know is that it is really exciting. I spent a half-hour coding before grabbing some breakfast and – surprise surprise – continuing my Buffy “marathon”. At 4 PM I met up with my sister at a local sports bar and watched our city’s (best) football team play an away game. They drew one all against a team that had won every game so far this season (not as impressive as it might sound as the Swedish football season starts in the spring and ends in the fall).

The real highlight of the weekend was (sad as it might sound) the portobello burger with coriander pesto and mozzarella I had at the sports bar. It was amazingly delicious.

This week I’ll try to get some work done on the “secret” project as well as my project management system (projects.mastr.se).

Much <3,
Martin
